When I first arrived in Baton Rouge in the fall of 1987 as a freshman at LSU little did I know that in time I would become the Poboy King of Baton Rouge. Rocco's New Orleans Style Poboys & Cafes have come a long way since opening my first restaurant in the spring of 1997 near the North gates of LSU at 276 West Chimes. In the summer of 2000 the second location of Rocco's New Orleans Style Poboys & Cafe was born located at 3358 Drusilla Lane. Since that time I have worked hard to incorporate the concept of Rocco's into a national franchise. I am moving forward with that plan at this time.      I know everyone out there wants to know how it all began so here is the story about a boy from Chalmette who makes it big in the Poboy business. During my freshman year I was amazed by how hard it was to find a REAL New Orleans poboy. Everywhere I went there was always something missing. No real French bread, not enough meat or seafood etc. I went to one place and asked for a hot roastbeef with gravy and got a French dip. Are you kidding me? Having worked in the deli of my grandparents St. Marie Grocery the actual process of making these delicous poboys was second nature. With a little bit of luck and a lot of help I managed to save enough money working long days and nights to achieve my dream of bringing the taste of New Orleans Poboys to Baton Rouge. Hey we don't just use the name we live it. In order to make a great New Orleans Style poboy "you gotta be from New Orleans."

     We are poised and ready to make Rocco's a household name not only in Baton Rouge but in the South and the rest of the nation. In Baton Rouge we have been named best poboy by the Morning Advocate and also the Gambit Weekly. So come see what everyone is raving about. Our motto is restaurant quality food served fast.
